DENIM RULES for 24/7 Jeans

After my Marc Allison Denim Review the other day… I received a few emails asking me about some “DENIM RULES.”

“What should I be looking for in jeans?  Especially if I don’t like the skinny jeans?”

Here are my DENIM RULES:

1.  Dark Wash Jeans – Dark Wash is fabulous because you can easily transition from day to night.

2.  Boot Cut – Boot Cut jeans look good on ANYONE!  You can wear heels, flats, boots, sneakers and flip flops… and still look good!

3.  Fit – This rule is the most important – MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT FIT!  You want a pair of jeans to hug your body in all the right spots.  You don’t want them to be too tight or too loose.  This is why it takes some women hours and hours and hours in the dressing room!

4.  Stretch – Find a jean with some stretch.  We’re all not built like Heidi Klum… we need a little “something – something” in our jeans.  To achieve great fit sometimes comes down to finding a pair of jeans with some fabulous stretch built-in.

5.  Length – Make sure you have a pair of jeans that is the RIGHT length.  Sometimes this comes down to actually measuring your inseam… it helps to know, believe me!  (Says the 5 foot girl!)
