Fashion Advice for the Bedroom (Ahem.)

OK, dish. What do you usually wear to bed? This is an area I haven’t really touched upon 365 Days of Fashion Advice for Moms.

Would it be cool to say I usually wear something sexy and frilly to bed? Well, my husband would love to hear (and see) that. Those were the days before kids. By the time I now hit the bedroom at night, I barely have enough energy to see what I’m putting on – never mind care about what I’m putting on. In my last wardrobe clean-out (which was about 4 weeks ago), I cleaned out my “pajama drawers.” I had so many odds and ends that I didn’t even want to take the time to organize everything. I just wanted to start over on the pajama front.

As much as I feel like I should be wearing something like this to bed –

That’s just not realistic (well, for me).

I know the first stop for PJ’s is usually Victoria’s Secret, but for me… I headed to GAP. They have some amazing soft, comfortable and cozy items. That’s key in sleepwear. You need and want something you can easily check on the kids in the middle of the night, wake up and go in for the morning routine, and something you could, potentially, drop the kids off to school in. (Please tell me we’ve all had those mornings, right?)

My suggestion:

GAP’s Finely Ribbed Tee

GAP’s Supersoft Cropped Pant

Soft. Check.

Cozy. Check.

Comfortable. Check. Check.

Just my 2 (pj) cents.

personally, I get the tanks and pants from Gilligan O’Malley at Target. They are super soft and comfy, look reasonably presentable when I take the4 garbarge out in them, and the prices can’t be beat!

I have absolutely had mornings like that…At least until I went back to work and had to really get dressed. Sigh. I miss the throw-on-jeans-with-tasteful-pj-top dropoff days!

I love the super soft drawstring pants from the GAP, I have several pair. Also, really cute pajamas from TJ Maxx. My husband hates the frump, so I try in the pajama department.
