This past weekend we made a BIG meal. Sundays are big days at my home — football games! My husband – being a Steeler fan. Me and the 4 boys — being fans of the Patriots. Sundays are game days and we just have a blast! We cook. We laugh. And we bake. It’s a Sunday thing.
It was this past weekend that I was truly grateful for my Frigidaire Gallery Microwave and Oven — and it all comes down to space.
With Henry now eating “real food” and not baby food, life is a little bit easier. When I make oatmeal, ravioli, Spaghetti-O’s or mashed potatoes — I need 4 bowls. With our last microwave, I needed to heat each bowl separately. Talk about a time-sucker. It wasn’t until this past weekend when it “hit” me — breakfast, lunch and dinner is pretty easy now. This was what half time looked like on Sunday while I heated up some ravioli for the boys —
And my Frigidaire Gallery oven… let’s just say — it was very easy to keep the mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, carrots and chunks of pot roast warm while we waited for half time.
I never knew how much easier my life would be with the Frigidaire appliances. I laugh with my husband – I don’t know how I would manage life with 4 boys without my large microwave and oven. These 4 boys are growing… they’re hungry and want food all the time. It’s not so easy telling them to “hold on… this is going to take a little bit of time.” Playing with these appliances – yes, I say “playing” – has been a blast for the last 10 weeks. It’s been such a treat seeing the different options and choices and controls. I have enjoyed getting to try each setting. Frigidaire… you have saved me time. You have saved me money. And you have saved me energy. For all of this — I have been able to do extra things each day. For example… this afternoon while watching the game with my boys (husband included), I was there. I was there. I was there. And that’s something… a perfect piece of life. I just can’t thank you enough for that.
I have that microwave. Just watch out for the handle/door opener. I had an older version that had a button to pop the door open which never gave me trouble. Last summer I bought this one…you just pull the handle to open. After about 6 months the handle cracked all along the door. It took 2 months and about 10 phone calls to get a resolution, which was to refund my money. Fine (though verrrrry slow customer service), but I would have rather had a better door mechanism.
