While I was at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week I met Todd Okerstrom, Director of Personal Shopping at Bergdorf Goodman. Ahh… imagine that dream job. Todd was giving me his tips for Fall Fashion — things he’s seeing and styles he feels will be “hot” this Fall.
His top 2 (oh, my!):
1.) BOOTS ABOVE THE KNEE. For a short girl (like myself…), not what you necessarily want to hear. So I immediately asked him about “height.” He said just make sure you have a high boot. High boots are VERY “hot” right now.
2.) ANIMAL PRINTS. Leopard. Zebra. Animal prints are a big deal right now. My suggestions, find a top or a dress channeling this look. I don’t know how to end this little paragraph with anything other than… “ROAR….!”
#1 just makes me laugh – especially considering your post yesterday about 5 things for Mom’s to consider. I love the way they look, but I think they are for someone in a little different place in life than most of us moms!

i tried on #1 this week. they were so cool (suede!) but i just couldn’t do it. so instead i bought two other pairs of boots. (yes, i spent my entire birthday check from my mom on boots. and i’m soooo happy!)
