In the days when I could actually watch Oprah (B.K. – “Before Kids”), I remember one episode in which she featured C&C California.

There were these two California girls talking about how they started a t-shirt business together. Oprah kept saying over and over again how “soft” their line of t-shirts were. I must admit, I was intrigued. I immediately bought myself a Classic Tank.

Soft? Check.

Layer-able? Check.

Flattering on? Check.

To me, it was the perfect tank.

You know it’s funny… this Oprah episode aired long before there was all this talk about “tissue tees.” I swear C&C made the tissue tee so popular. Their fabric is really as soft as butter. It’s amazing.

I still have my C&C tank. All these years later. It has held up. The color has faded a little… it was black and now it’s like a vintagy black. Honestly, I like the color better today. This tank is one of those items that won’t ever go out of style.

But here we are, at the end of summer… and for some reason, I popped over to C&C California this weekend. I wanted to see if there were any summer sales and deals on the softest tees/tanks ever. The company has grown immensely. I mean, it’s incredible to see. But I noticed the same Classic Tank is available to purchase. I guess sticking with what made you so popular is a good thing.
