Monochromatic Fashions…

When it comes to dressing monochromatically (I’m thinking this is a word)… it doesn’t mean you always need to stay with blacks. That’s such a common question I get when I mention a monochromatic look. You can absolutely branch out to different colors, it truly makes such a statement. The bolder you go, the bigger the statement you’re making.

I perfected the monochromatic look while living in NYC. I happen to love dressing in all black, so it was easy for me to dress that way. When I lived in NYC, I swear 75% of my clothes were black. When I moved out of the City, I started introducing more and more color into my wardrobe. Call it the mother in me… !

Here are some dress sets of monochromatic looks that I love — have some fun and experiment! The beauty is… you can be any shape, any size, any anything to wear this type of look. (And yes, you can throw in different shades on the same color… it makes it even that much more chic!)

  1. Great advice, as a fan of waaayy to much grey, love seeing it. Am always leery of matching pocketbooks and shoes though, Posh Spice is not a look we’re striving for 🙂

  2. I’ve always loved dressing in all black. I think it’s SO classy! I’m going to start incorporating different grays/blacks together. Thanks for the inspiration!
