Frigidaire’s Gallery Range and Microwave… cupcake heaven.

Last week, William and Alexander begged me to make cupcakes. I have no problem making cupcakes… it’s just that I usually have to wait until my 2 little guys go bed. Benjamin and Henry want to get into everything — the eggs, the oil, the butter and the batter. It’s funny seeing these little hands try to sneak up and grab something, keeping me constantly on “patrol.”

So last Friday night was baking heaven for William and Alexander. I bought 2 different kinds of cake mix, 2 frostings (chocolate and vanilla) and surprised them with a special baking night after Benjamin and Henry went to bed.

William and Alex love helping out… they take turns, they laugh and giggle and just have a blast baking away with me.

I hadn’t baked cupcakes in my new Frigidaire’s Gallery Freestanding Electric Range yet… so I was very, very excited to give this baby a whirl. Cupcakes couldn’t have been more appropriate to make because we absolutely love them. (And we’re also very excited to try some cookies!) The reason I hesitated to make cupcakes and cookies more often before was because our old oven was small, and I could only fit one cupcake tray/cookie tray in at a time. With cupcakes, I usually have 2 trays to bake and they take 22 minutes per baking, so I’d have about 45 minutes of baking-time ahead of me. With cookies, I could fill up to 5-6 trays at a time and they take about 10-12 minutes each… with my old oven, I would have to stay in the kitchen and bake each tray separately. Ahh… those days are over. And I love it! I can fit both cupcake trays VERY easily into my new Frigidaire Range… actually, I had room to fit 2 more trays. (Next time!)  It was awesome! With the cookies, I could easily fit 4 trays to bake. That cuts my baking-time IMMENSELY. It’s the genius of the Fits-More feature that has a unique rack configuration to “fit more” while baking/cooking. I can finally bake my famous holiday cookies to my heart’s content in a fraction of the time… and host Christmas Day dinner without asking people to bring dishes of their own! Saves me time and gives me more space – 2 huge things for me!

My sons’ and husband’s favorite feature of the new Range?

(Don’t laugh) The Chicken Nugget Button. With one push, Chicken Nuggets are baked to perfection. They no longer are rubbery for them, and all my “boys” are loving it. As you can tell, Chicken Nuggets are a dinner treat for the boys!

Which brings me to our new Frigidaire Gallery Microwave. Oh, my. Talk about making my life easier. Being a mom of 4, I’m constantly making quick, fast food. The microwave is always my best friend. Some of my favorite buttons on my microwave that make my life easier… Popcorn button, Melt/Soften button, Keep Warm button (LOVE this one!), Veggies button, Auto Reheat button. I love these buttons because they are just so straight-forward and easy and convenient. I need this!

One of my personal favorite features is the beeping when something is done… the beeping doesn’t stop until I open the microwave door. I cannot tell you how many mornings I used to re-heat my coffee and then just forget about it. And there it would sit until I went to use the microwave for something else. The beeping… well, it’s exactly what I need. Thank you, Frigidaire, for that feature!

Having had the appliances for a full month now, I can say without hesitation that they have absolutely made my life and my family’s life easier. I love them! Time is a precious thing in life and with a family… thank you for saving me time and energy with Frigidaire’s Gallery appliances.

I can’t stop smiling!

First off: your arms? wicked ripped girl.

Secondly: I want in on the Frigidaire business. My stove is dying a slow death. That’s my excuse for not cooking.
