It’s been a month since my Frigidaire appliances arrived. 33 days now to be exact. Within the last 33 days, I have used the appliances every single day — every single one of them. I guess I can’t get over the silence of my appliances — in particular Frigidaire’s Gallery Dishwasher and Affinity Dryer. They are – unbelievably – QUIET.

In a house of 5 boys (including my husband), I’m not used to quiet. Someone is always talking loudly over someone else talking loudly or making “super hero” noises or pretending they’re dinosaurs or trains or cars. It’s my life… this is my “normal.” I don’t know any different…

And, so – I have been used to my appliances being loud. Seriously, loud enough where I used to have to be conscious of whether I should start my dryer or dishwasher if company was coming over… or if the boys were about to take a nap or go to bed, because they were that loud. Not normal, I know. Saying we were always about to get new appliances is an understatement.

Let me start with the Dryer. Frigidaire’s Affinity Dryer is amazing. One thing I love love love is that I don’t have to divide my wash load into 2 piles anymore! Talk about loving laundry (OK, not really). But in all seriousness, I know I mentioned this before, but I literally used to have to divide every load into 2 (or sometimes 3) piles before I popped them into my old dryer. It made doing laundry very difficult – especially towels and sheets and blankies. The Affinity Dryer. Oh, yes. This is like the alpha Dryer – you toss anything in it (clothing wise) and it dries it — no questions asked. These are my 3 favorite features:

Fits-More Dryer – Because right about now, I’m drying towels from the pool – 5 of them – every single day. They ALL fit into the dryer. They. ALL. FIT. This makes my life so much easier.

Multiple Cycles – There is a delicate setting, and then all the way to a heavy duty setting. I love that I can dry my own bathing suit in it — there are beads on it, so I am always worried that they will fly off — but in the delicate setting mode, it takes care of those beads and all my feminine delicates. It’s AWESOME.

And my favorite… It’s QUIET! Seriously. You cannot hear it running at all. There have been times I actually walk by to make sure it’s still working. This is so new for me (us) – and it makes such a huge difference.

Now let’s talk dishwasher.  Frigidaire’s Gallery Built-In Dishwasher is, well, just what we needed. I feel like I’m living in 2030 with this dishwasher. It’s that cool and that different from my old one. When I tell you that it’s not surprising at all to me that it is the Quietest Dishwasher in its Class — I am not kidding. This to me was the most noticeable difference in getting a new dishwasher. See…

Not to mention, I love how I can see how much longer the cycle I have selected has to go… there’s a countdown clock on the outside, so I know exactly how much more time until finished. And a GREAT feature for moms of little kids — it has a Stay-Put Door. The door stays open at any angle. Considering that my littlest man, 1-year old Henry, likes to try to sit on the door when it’s open, it’s very good to have this as a featured option.

So Frigidaire… I am loving the appliances — enjoying them every single day. THANK YOU!
