I was at Whole Foods yesterday buying a pair of Kid Cayman Crocs for my Benjamin when I saw a rack of cards. I went to the rack like a bee to honey. I was immediately drawn to one card in particular that showed 11 women all standing together with their arms linked, it read:
“Call it a clan,
call it a network,
call it a tribe,
call it a family.
Whatever you call it,
whoever you are,
you need one.”
– Jane Howard (1935-1996)
And it struck me.
Regardless if this “clan, network, tribe, family” is YOUR family, or YOUR friends at home, or YOUR blogging friends, or YOUR Twitter “group”, or YOUR work buddies… it’s important to have them in YOUR life.
Just wanted to pass it on this morning…
I’ve kept “quote books” for over a decade, and this is in there. I love it!
So true…..
Cute – and how true. I’m always drawn to the card rack too. 🙂
