Max it up with a Maxi Dress!

There’s nothing I love more than Maxi dresses in the spring/summer. The reason I love them so much is because they are so versatile. You can wear these ANYWHERE! As moms, we have to embrace items of clothing like this. So how can you mix a Maxi up (say that about 10 times fast!)?

I got this Maxi dress at T.J.Maxx for $19.99. Not bad for getting some amazing looks out of it, HUH!?

(Thanks, Janie!)

ok so i am intrigued by this dress. but wondering if it could work for me. first of all, i’m short! your model is tall! but even moreso, i would need some help with the upper arms. due to a medical condition my upper arms just won’t work being bared. (at least not that i think)…do they still make shrugs? =)

I JUST tried on a maxi dress at New York and Company the other day and HATED it. It looked like a bag on me. I never thought to try a belt, and I’m sure the shoes make a difference. Maybe I’ll go back armed with accessories next time.

I was curious as to what type of material you would suggest in a maxi dress? I see them everywhere, but knit cotton I would expect to be clingy and other fabrics might be hot, especially in dark colors. What is the most forgiving & yet practical fabric to look for?

To the other Heather above… not sure what your issue is, but I have keratosis pilaris which keeps me from bearing arms at times. I have a couple of crochet shrugs that disguise the issue, without being too hot for spring/summer. Crochet items are really popular right now, maybe it’d work for you too?
