We’re here in Pittsburgh…

The 10 hour drive wasn’t so bad – besides Henry pooping up his back 2 times (good thing I packed extra clothes) and Alexander being car sick – it really was uneventful. The boys watched movies (thank you to my friend Sue for letting us borrow her dual DVD players – you were a lifesaver!) and played with their Star Wars and Indiana Jones figures the whole way.

So how does this possibly correlate to a fashion post?

Right now my suitcase is being held captive in the room where my sons Benjamin and Henry are napping. Considering we pulled in at 10PM and they didn’t fall asleep until midnight (and were up at 6AM!), I need them to sleep as long as possible right now. Yes, as every mother can attest to, if the rest of this holiday weekend away is going to be pleasant, they need to catch up on their sleep.

So I can’t get in there to change – and I’m about to head out to the store and meet up with some of my husband’s friends. What’s a girl to do?

I’m tossing on my fleece. I’ve mentioned my fleece before as being a go-to item. I have 3 black fleece coats that I absolutely LOVE. This Under Armour one that I have on right now is made to be worn while running, but I love it as an everyday casual piece to wear. I’m telling you, you’ve got to get a good fleece coat. It’s so versatile. I can wear it for running and out to lunch with friends – its just an additional easy piece to have in your wardrobe.
