I have never been a short-wearer. (OK… when I was a child, I was – circa 1985… but not recently!)
For my trip to Florida I have tried on over (no joke) 20 pairs of shorts. Some were too tight. Some were too short. Some were just not comfortable. Some actually rode up my bummie! And some just made me look shorter (if that is all possible!).
But! I hit the motherload (no pun intended) with some khaki shorts from the GAP that were mid-length shorts. They fit absolutely-AWESOME(ly)!
Mid-length shorts are literally across-the-board flattering. Essentially – mid-length shorts have an inseam of about 7 or 8 inches. I love the fact that they make my legs look longer… and still cover my upper thighs. Come on, we all love things that cover upper thighs, right!?
With mid-length shorts you can do anything… walk, run, play, hang out and (most important) give piggy-back-rides! This is very important in my household! 🙂
I have always hated shorts and never wore them until the day bermudas/ walking shorts became popular and then everyone had fashionable pairs. Now I love my long shorts!
These are my FAVORITE shorts! I love ’em. Yea for GAP!

I’ve never been one for shorts either. I have such a long thigh area that normal shorts look too short and long shorts look like boy shorts.

I will definitely have to go find a pair of these next time I’m at the mall! I haven’t worn shorts since I got pregnant and my little girl is 7 months old now. I live in a year-round warm climate so that will be perfect!
