I absolutely love the summer.
I remember as a child, as soon as April hit, I would start counting down the days until the last day of school. I knew, after that (which was usually somewhere around June 20 (something), the pool club my family belonged to would be open.
The sun. The pool. The playground. The tennis courts. My friends.
And with summertime, also came the beach (especially growing up near the ocean in New England).
Living in Rhode Island, we used to spend our weekends at the beach. I would play for hours and hours in the water with my sister and my brothers. We would “ride” waves, build sand castles, throw seaweed at each other (OK, mostly my brothers doing this), and collect shells and rock treasures in the water.
It’s funny how life changes. I still LOVE the summer, BUT this Only in a Woman’s World WEBISODE expresses my feelings NOW. Perfectly.
Some mock me for my love of monokinis but you get the look and feel of a full-piece but can still have the tan lines of a bikini 🙂 See, NOW they’ll understand.
