I absolutely LOVE flowers. Always have. Always will.

There’s something about the colors and the energy and the life of flowers that they bring to a room or to a garden. It captures me from head to toe.

For as long as I can remember, I have given my own mother flowers on Mother’s Day. She LOVES hydrangas, so that was always what we got her every year on Mother’s Day… and we would plant the Hydranga together, taking tons of photos. It was a special Mother’s Day tradition. Actually, when I told my mother I was pregnant with my first son, she immediately picked a spot in her garden for a new hydranga bush.

When I became a mother for the first time… my husband started the tradition with me. It touched my heart in ways I cannot describe. To see my sons walking into a room with flowers for me (and their faces completely lit up with excitement!), it warms my heart. It’s truly a full circle moment of life for me.

SO! When Colombia, Land of Flowers approached me to try my hand at a beautiful Mother’s Day floral arrangement – I jumped at the chance! I had the opportunity this evening to create a Mom is Tops Topiary – it was so much fun… and – as you can absolutely tell – my Topiary truly reflects my life as a mother of 4 boys (4 and under).

A Mother’s Day bouquet means the world to me. The beauty of flowers for me is that they reflect motherhood. From seed to bloom to growth. It’s the pattern of life. Flowers are life. Energy. Vibrance. Color. Excitement. Beauty. And true growth. A bouquet brings it all together for me.

I had a blast putting together my Colombia – Land of Flowers – Mom is Tops Topiary – Star Wars men and all! 🙂 I cannot stop smiling at it as I walk by!
