What to do? What to do?

Ah, an afternoon at Grandma’s! What to do? What to do?

Improvise! (Grandmothers are masters at this!) I think I can say that 4-year old William and 3-year old Alexander had a pretty good time, if I do say so myself…

First, a couple of games with their Webkinz pets… and a great win or two!

Next, mixing their own hot chocolate!

After that, the great and happy sounds of a Pots & Pan Percussion Band, using the antique timbale and beat sticks that belonged to their great-grandfather, Joe Couto, who played in the 40’s with the Big Bands in NYC! I think we have a couple of proteges!

Of course, a hug for Ryder, one of my 5 furry grandchildren!

And outside for a few games of “Finding the Treasure of the Missing Mummy Head”… (notice how much fun it is to play among the rocks that fell from our 250-year old stone wall during the last blizzard… fun for the moment ‘cuz I wasn’t thinking at that moment how much it will cost to repair that wall!)

Back inside for some engineering and architectural work with the fabulous Toobeez Project Connect! We built a table and chair… and had the most fun imaginable with our total team work! I highly recommend Toobeez to anyone who loves to challenge kids (and themselves!)…

And what day would be complete without a little sidewalk chalk and a place to draw, draw, draw!

Oh… and a little baby pine tree to decorate with Easter eggs!

Afternoon complete… especially with wonderful memories!

It looks like you all had a great day. I love your glasses. I need new ones, but just keep forgetting to call and make the appointment until it’s too late to call.

You are one in a million grandma who knows just how to entertain with what you have on hand. That is the best entertainment! I haven’t had Nesquik in ages. Love your furry grandchild! Oh, and the non furry ones too!
