While Audrey was attending SXSW, I was not enforcing discipline, rules, orderliness or limitations on her 4 little guys.
I gave no advice or training. And I did not curb any enthusiasm.
Instead, I dispensed ice cream and chocolate syrup. You heard me right. I had them eating out of the palm of my hand. Well, at least from the shelves of my refrigerator. Thank you, Breyers, for the most delectable Natural Vanilla Ice Cream imaginable. And thank you, Hershey’s, for your Genuine Chocolate Flavor.
We made sundaes. We made “pudding.” We made fun. We made messes. We made delicious. We made memories.
OK. I made bribes!
Five days flew by as fast as the vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup disappeared. Yes, I’m a grandma… and we grandmothers do ice cream and chocolate syrup very nicely, thank you!
This is what grandma’s are for! This post is the best! Have a super day!
Will you be my Grandmother? I had only one living, and she didn’t like kids much.
Next time Audrey’s out of town, I’m coming over for ice cream, too. Grandparents are definitely for spoiling!
Yes, we do. So glad you are making some wonderful memories.
Oh, there is nothing like Breyers and Hershey! Sounds like a fun party. Since my youngest grandson is allergic to dairy, we have a lot of popsicle parties.
