Honest Scrap

First, I love the widget of the Honest Scrap Award. It reminds me of that great gal, Rosie the Riveter. The object is to post ten scraps of information about yourself and then pass the award on to seven other bloggers.

Second, I love Bacardi Mama, my blogging friend who passed this fun meme to me.

Last. Hmmm. Let me think about what I’m going to reveal here…

1. I am addicted to the games Goober’s Lab and Home Before Dark on Webkinz. It’s so bad that my 4-year old grandson asks me every day, “Grandma, did you get to the next levels?” I need an intervention.

2. I have extensively researched the history of hip hop and rap. I began this years ago when I was teaching poetry to my high school students who hated poetry, but loved rap. I told them that if they could write poetry… I could write a rap song. I just recently took out my notes and began to develop a rap song, which I AM GOING TO WRITE AND RECORD (somehow or another!) and dedicate to my former students, especially to Period 1, 2002-03. So… I just might call myself “Older Than Wack”!

3. I have never, ever… ever had camel toe. I have mirrors.

4. I LOVE Stonyfield Farm Organic Fat Free French Vanilla yogurt. Last Valentine’s Day, my husband went to several markets and surprised me with 50 containers. The little cow on the container has on a cute little blue beret. Why am I telling you this?

5. I LOVE the Boston Red Sox, Fenway Park and summer days at a baseball game. I’ve sat in the Green Monster seat section twice, but I still love our season tickets in-between 1st base and Pesky Pole. Take me out to the ball game… skip the peanuts and Cracker Jacks, though, and hand me a Miller Lite.

6. I take my coffee black, no sugar. We once took a trip to Venezuela for an 8-day swim camp with Audrey and Jane. (Yes, I said Venezuela.)  It was right after Christmas 1994. Anyway, the coffee was thick and strong and the blackest black I’ve ever seen. The idea was to take it half black, half warm milk… but I loved it all black. I was almost deported.

7. In May of 1998… Audrey was a sophomore in college, Jane was a senior in high school and Keith and Adam were both getting married that summer. Can you imagine my surprise when I found it necessary to take a home pregnancy test?! Nothing says “family time” more than waiting for the line test with your 2 adult daughters. No, I don’t have a 9-year old today!

8. When I was 12 years old, I was walking home from a friend’s house one winter afternoon and heard the most distressing sound coming from a nearby river. I ran to the bank to see a large Collie struggling to free itself from the ice. Without thinking, I jumped in to save that dog. I wasn’t frightened at the time. I just kept breaking the ice as I stepped into deeper and deeper water. I reached the dog and pulled it with me to the shore. The Collie ran… and then I stood there shivering with cold. And fright. I never told my parents. Sorry, Mom.

9. When I was 13, my cousin (also 13) and I stayed for 2 weeks with our Nana in Boston. Nana wasn’t exactly a disciplinarian, and she let us go to a Monkey’s concert downtown. We dressed all mod-squad in our striped ultra-mini skirts, huge dangling earrings and enough eye-liner to pave a highway. We took a subway into the city and had the greatest time ever. On the subway home, a guy invited us to a party. Should I go on? Yes, we went with him. We walked into a world of psychedelic that you can’t believe. My cousin and I looked at each other and ran like hell. Can you say “stupid” and “smart” in the same breath. I never told my parents. Sorry, Mom.

10. I worry obsessively about my kids and grandkids… because of #’s 8 and 9.

Now… I would love to pass along Honest Scrap to:

1. my daughters, Audrey and Jane.  I can take anything you dish.  I think.

I love #2! I teach hip hop along with poetry to my students, too. Specifically we listen to Tupac alongside reading Dylan Thomas, but I definitely have not gone so far as to write my own rap!

There have were times of troubles when I felt unhappy missing knowledge about opportunities of getting high yields on investments. I was a dump and downright stupid person.
I have never thought that there weren’t any need in large starting capital.
Nowadays, I feel good, I begin take up real income.
It’s all about how to choose a proper companion who utilizes your money in a right way – that is incorporate it in real deals, parts and divides the profit with me.

You may ask, if there are such firms? I’m obliged to answer the truth, YES, there are. Please get to know about one of them:
