Gotta love kids…

Since having Henry this past June, I have tried really hard to lose the baby weight.

I launched Tweightloss in July to get me jump started.

I started running at the YMCA. Then bought a treadmill to be able to run at home. And then even started running on the street.

I got myself back into the water. After being a competitive swimmer for 16 years… I stopped swimming in college. Pretty abruptly. And I just recently got myself back on the pool deck and into the pool.

I did my first triathlon 2 weeks ago. My biggest “sport” accomplishment since I was 19 years old.

And now I’m training for a half marathon with my sister.

Point to all of this is — I have been working out and just recently was able to get the final baby weight off.

So…

Yes, so…

Imagine my delight when my oldest son comes up to me the other night after dinner – rubs my belly and says to me, “Does Daddy know there’s another baby in there?”

Yes. He thought I was pregnant. AGAIN!

My husband tried to make me feel better by saying… “Well, for him… you are usually pregnant by now…” But that didn’t “work” on me.

Ahh… kids. You gotta’ love ’em!

Day #14 – Fashion Advice for Moms

Clothing staples.

What are “clothing staples?”

Clothing that never goes out of style. It’s as plain and simple as that. They are pieces that make getting dressed effortless.

2 of my favorite clothing staples are 2 items you probably already have in your closet – a Little Black Dress and a white button front shirt.

The Little Black Dress is a true staple. It can be worn to work… out to lunch or dinner… to a wedding… to a conference… anywhere. The wonderful thing about a Little Black Dress is that it can be easily dressed up jewelry – earrings, bracelets, necklaces. Even a pair of shoes can dress up or down a Little Black Dress.

Check out some selections at edressme.com.

The white button front shirt. It slims. It’s chic and sophisticated. It can be paired with just about anything – jeans, trousers, skirts. Any color goes with it. I mean, really… how easy is that for a mother!? The only thing – make sure it’s always bright white! If it begins to lose its luster… you probably need to get a new one! 🙂

My 4yo daughter has hopes for another baby (hopes I don’t share). Any time my belly bulges a bit (slumped on the couch) she asks, “Do you have a baby in there?” Not the best emotional boost.

Glad I’m not the only one!

Dude, do you realize I could NEVER imagine doing a triathalon, let a lone a marathon? I am in amazement of you and I think you look breathtaking. In fact, when hubby gets home in a little bit I am going to go up to the apt workout center because after hearing what you are doing to loose the weight, I feel increadibly lazy at my little bit of effort….:)

    You look stunning 🙂

I have never had a white blouse. Never. What kind of fashionista am I anyway?
