What I LOVE about doing my fashion series 365 Days of Fashion Advice for Moms is that I’m getting great emails from moms with their fashion questions. One fashion question that has come up quite a few times is the issue of leggings. Yay or nay, you’re wondering?
Here’s my take:
Hey, I’m wondering if it is OK to wear a boy in a girly colored sling/wrap/etc. And should the carrier match your outfit or is it OK that they dont? What do you think?
I love the leggings advice too; I’m going to try some under a summer dress and see how it would look!
Alas… too “young” of a look for an old gal like me. But I love the legging look on women your age.
On further thought, maybe I’ll try them under a longer skirt. You only live once, right?
They look good on you – but then, you have skinny legs. Mine are short and muscular and can look big in leggings. If I wear leggings, I wear them under a short dress/skirt/tunic top, just to keep me decent. Does that sound okay? I am 41. I find it hard to know what suits me now I am older and wider …

I just found your blog and love all your fashion advice. I need some. I bought one of those sweater dresses and it is too short to wear with bare legs or even tights. I have long legs and I don’t want to show my tuss when I bend over, so do I take it back? Do I wear leggings under it? If I do that what kind of shoes do I wear? So many questions? Help!
i love leggings and wear them every chance i get or at least when it is warm enough.
I just bought my first pair of leggings over the fall. But, I like how you paired it with a simple layered shirt and sweater. I put mine with a sweater and it just made me look frumpy.

OMG – I haven’t worn leggings in over 15 years – I guess it’s time for me to go get new ones I can wear again. I used to love leggings – they are soooo comfy.
