Day #31 – Fashion Advice for Moms

What to wear to a Super Bowl party.

Today’s a fun day for me… you see, my husband is a HUGE Pittsburgh Steeler fan. I mean, HUGE!

The only problem for him… we live in New England. Oh, yes – the land of the red, white and blue – not black and gold.

So. What’s a lady to do on Super Bowl Sunday?

Here’s Day #31 of my 365 Days of Fashion Advice for Moms… and this doesn’t have to apply only to those moms (and wives) who will be glued to the TV watching the football game (or the commercials).

Toss on a pair of jeans.

And then…

Pick a team. Any team. It could be the black & yellow of the Steelers or the red and white of the Cardinals. Or maybe you still want to stick with your home team (ahem… !).

Grab your team’s colors and douse yourself on top! Go for it! I pulled out some black tops today… and a yellow t-shirt from the summer. I’m going to do the “Nicole tip” – long sleeve with short sleeve over. There’s a good chance that even your kids will get a 3-point KICK out of you!

It’s Super Bowl SUNDAY tomorrow! Have some fun! (On any given day, I wouldn’t be caught in yellow to save my life — so you see, just let loose and let’s enjoy us some football!)

PS – If you happen to have any game jerseys… you’re 100 yards ahead already!

I live in NE too … we are Pat’s fans – but will still watch tomorrow even though they aren’t in it. =)

I have a question … maybe you’ve already talked about this so I’m sorry if it’s a repeat … I see SO many women and teens wearing the Ugg boots (or similar) lately. I like them but can’t afford the real ones – so my question is: Will I look like a nerd if I buy the cheaper brand ones? And, since I’m a Mom in my early thirties, will I look like I’m trying to be a teen by wearing them?

Thanks for the advice, I’m new to your blog and really like it so far!

Okay, don’t kill me, but we’re not football fans. We’re taking the kids to Chuck E. Cheese tomorrow afternoon, figuring that since we live in the Pittsburgh area, we’ll probably have the restaurant to ourselves!

And good question, Kathy. I was just looking at people’s boots at Walmart today, and I really do like those Uggs.

I’m not a football fan, but I am super excited that tissue tees (long and short sleeves) are on sale at Target this week!
