Dora makes the rounds

Audrey’s little guy Benjamin is obsessed with Dora.

There are a few words he says very clearly. Among them are: “Mama.” “Grandma.” “Puppy.” “Owk” (out). “No” (of course). And “Dora.”

So when I saw a big Dora doll at the store the other day, I knew I had to get it for him. I couldn’t wait to surprise him with it.

He immediately loved his life-sized Dora:

We decided to keep Dora at my parents’ house so he could play with it when he visits (which is mostly every day).

Of course, Benjamin has a 4-legged cousin who loves big, soft toys, too. And we already know she’s a bit of a thief (a cute one!) when it comes to objects she wants to snuggle with.

So it was really no surprise to find Ryder under the table at my parents’ house today with what she has decided is her new toy:

I guess it’s a good lesson in sharing for both of them, no?

Those pictures couldn’t be more adorable. What a good aunt you are. 🙂 I love how Dora is practically bigger than both of them, by the way.

hahahahha that’s so funny. Do the boys know where to go look for things when they’re at your house?

By keeping the toy at Grandma’s all the ‘kids’ get to play with it. And you know if you got Ryder her own she wouldn’t touch it, right?

    So cute!

Awwww…what a HUGE dog cuddle toy LOL. Definitely a good lesson for them both. Let’s just hope Seth doesn’t chew up Dora and ruin it for them both!

The art of sharing… it begins with a cartoon character come-to-life at Grandma’s house! I love it!
