Would you think I'm crazy if I told you I am having FUN organizing?

It's true. And it's all thanks to the book Organize Now! by Jennifer Ford Berry.

As soon as I saw that this book was set up as a week-by-week guide to help me simplify and organize my life and my personal space, I loved it.

As a busy mom/wife/worker/daughter/sister/writer I needed something to come into my life to make organizing simple and fun.  Organize Now! is my new best friend.  (Don't laugh!)

Jennifer sets the book up so that you are literally organizing certain aspects of your life at a time.  Weeks 1 - 4?  You're organizing yourself.

Yes, someone actually gives you the time to do this for you.  From your mind to your schedule to your cleaning needs to your priorities.  Everything suddenly becomes clear.  And easy.

Why did I have fun doing this?

It was the first time it was all about me.  Giving myself the time to sit down and read - and then do - what Jennifer suggested really had me smiling.

All of a sudden my life wasn't so chaotic anymore.  Yes, even with 4 boys running around, all needing something at the same exact time.  It was nice to carve out some time to set up schedules and calendars and to-do lists. 

And the best part? The way Organize Now! had me do all this... it didn't seem daunting.

For me, that was a huge plus.  The book is there to help.  Not add to the chaos.

But that's not it.  Not even close.

What truly helped change my life was "Organizing Your High-Traffic Areas."  This was where I needed the most help with organization.  As other moms can probably attest to, when something like laundry becomes overwhelming, suddenly everything else is out of control, too.  And that is how it was for me.

Jennifer helped bring me through all the different areas in my home. But each area has its own week, so I wasn't wrestling with organizing the living room, and then running to the kitchen, and then to the toy room, and then... well, running out of gas.
