Ah, the joys of potty training.

Mothers of girls will tell you why girls are so difficult (or so easy) to train.

Mothers of boys will tell you why boys are so easy (or difficult) to train.

What I've discovered is that each child is different.

With boy #2 in potty training mode, I've found a product that has made this time not only a bit easier, but special.

The Potty Watch from One Step Ahead.

My little guy Alexander thinks he's a "big boy" just wearing his.  After all, Daddy wears a watch.  His big brother William wears a watch. 

But Alexander's is the only watch that lights up and sings.  He thinks he's got it made.

And it's so easy for me... I just set his Potty Watch at 60 minute intervals, and then it alerts him with music and lights when it's time to go potty.

Does it work?  Well, it certainly does for Alexander.

He not only looks forward to his potty "cue," but he takes pride in his new big boy status.

I'm happy that the watch is pediatrician recommended.  And that I have the ability to set it at 30, 60 or 90 minute intervals. 

This way, I can adjust it to his needs, as well my own time frame. (As any parent in the midst of potty training knows, you've gotta be flexible.)
