While coping with the death of her best friend, Sarah Landon (newcomer Rissa Walters) goes to Pine Valley to visit her friend’s grandmother.     There’s nothing better than a really good ghost story told without all the garbage that’s thrown into them today in movies. I really love ghost stories, but it’s difficult to watch all the needless sex and gore that seems necessary to make them marketable these days. Favorite of all time: the ORIGINAL version of “The Haunting” by Shirly Jackson. They really knew how to send shivers up and down your spine in those days!

    What is normal and what isn’t? Sometimes our instincts and feelings are absolutely normal (although we have no proof of that) and yet society labels them as “paranormal” just because our culture doesn’t cultivate our subconscious side (like the culture in which kids are encouraged to tell and analyze their dreams to the family every morning). I’d love to see this movie and see what it has to say on the subject!
