Shutterfly, the online personal photo publishing service, has unveiled Shutterfly Share Sites, which allow customers to create free, secure websites to share stories and easily connect and collaborate with friends and family in a safe, secure environment. (A screenshot of mine is above!)
How it works: Within minutes, customers can create a free, professional-looking website by logging into their Shutterfly account and following the self-guided three step process (FYI: it couldn’t be any easier!).
1. Select Share Site style - Shutterfly further simplifies the creation process by providing pre-determined templates, backgrounds and styles, organized across eight categories – including family, baby, wedding and kids’ sports.
2. Name your Share Site - After choosing the style of the site, users will be prompted to select a name for their Share Site and will receive a personalized URL (mine is http://porricellifamily.shutterfly.com).
3. Customize your features - Site owners can add features such as calendars, weather information and polls, as well as set site privacy permissions before inviting friends and family to become site members.
When visiting the Share Site, members can add photos, share photo books, write journal entries and post comments. Even better, in just a few clicks, members can make a variety of photo books, cards, calendars and other photo merchandise using the photos from their Share Site. Also, Share Site owners receive a dedicated email address for their site, (e.g. marshallfamily@sfly.com), where members can email comments and photos that are posted directly to their Share Site.
Shutterfly customers can create up to ten Share Sites!

I’ve used shutterfly for a long time. I like them over kiosks because they have an option NOT to resize your pictures. I don’t always want a standard size picture - I’m weird - so I edit mine to the size I want or need in photoshop - and then use that option. Kiosks just don’t offer that.

I love shutterfly. I have decorated the walls of our finished basement with framed, colorful, poster-sized collages (from Shutterfly) of all of the vacations we’ve been on. Everyone that sees it loves it and copies my idea!
