Big family, fun family traditions

November 10th, 2008 · 5 Comments · celebrations, memories

One thing I love about having a lot of siblings is that it yields a lot of nieces and nephews.

And together we all get to do really fun things.

Four years ago, in 2004, my parents decided to get tickets for all of us - all 15 of us, at that time - to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in NYC. At that time there were 5 grandchildren, all snapped in this photo with Grandma and Grandpa after the show…

We had so much fun that my parents decided to make it a tradition. And so we went in 2005 when there were 6 grandchildren… in 2006 (when there were still 6 grandchildren)… in 2007 when there were 7 grandchildren…

And this year, 2008, made it the 5th holiday season in a row that we have continued our little family tradition. There are 9 grandchildren now, snapped in this photo with Grandma and Grandpa before leaving for the show in NYC:

And as for the show itself? It is, in a word, spectacular.

Great photos. I’m still in awe that you go with all those kids! And no one looks stressed out!

OMG, my sister-in-law is a Radio City Rockette and I think that’s her right in the middle! What a crazy world, that you would get a shot of her and blog it. Love it!

Btw, that pic of your parents and all the grandkids is priceless, I bet they were glowing (and a little scared) when they left for the show!
