Yesterday I got to do something I never get to do.
Spend alone time with Benjamin, my 19th month old.
He’s 3rd in line among the men in my house. By nature he’s a bruiser. He’s rough and tough. Funny. Energetic. And loves, loves, loves chasing his brothers.
Yesterday my mother and father took [...]

With William and Alexander’s birthdays being this past week, I scoured through tons and tons of photos of them throughout the past 4 years. These are my precious memories captured in time. The moments I won’t forget. The faces that have changed and grown. It was amazing going through the photos…

Happy Birthday, my sweet William!
September 25th, 2008 · 21 Comments · 4 boys, children, life, motherhood
4 years ago today my William was born.
It was a gorgeous Saturday afternoon in New York City.
William’s delivery was not an easy one… I pushed and pushed and pushed (and pushed some more) for hours. I just kept looking into my husband’s eyes, with tears down my cheeks and thinking, “I just want to [...]
Lost in NYC - Part 2
September 24th, 2008 · 6 Comments · 4 boys, activities, life, motherhood
Oh, the joys.
I blogged on Monday about getting to NYC on Saturday for our friend’s wedding. I was lost. I was found. But all the while, I can say with 100% certainty that I knew my boys were safe and sound at home with my parents.
I was wrong.
I was told the “real” [...]

My husband and I were at a wedding for one of our best friends in NYC this weekend. It was one of those events that I had been excited about for months. Time with just Matt and me. A romantic getaway. Fancy hotel. Seeing friends from college. And just [...]

Lined up and ready to go…
September 18th, 2008 · 8 Comments · 4 boys, brothers, motherhood
This morning was a little hectic in our house.
By the time I got William out of bed, I realized it was 8:15 am. He needs to be at school at 9 am. Usually not a problem… but this morning my husband had an 8 am conference call, so I was on my own.
The [...]

A drive to the shore…
August 4th, 2008 · 9 Comments · 4 boys, Tweightloss, activities, motherhood
My sister-in-law was visiting all last week from Pittsburgh. And my in-laws (also from Pittsburgh) will be coming on Thursday and staying for 10 days.
(No, this isn’t a post about the in-laws… yet!)
Whenever they come to visit, we always find ourselves at the shore. Whether we’re going there for the day. [...]

FINALLY. Mommy’s back!
July 30th, 2008 · 15 Comments · motherhood, pregnancy
Oh, yes.
Quite literally.
I have taken the plunge.
Yesterday marked 6 weeks since my C-section.
And do you know what that means?
Walking. Running. Swimming.
Holding my boys. Spinning, turning and tight hugs kind-of holding.
Chasing my boys in the backyard.
It can ALL be done!
AHH!! It’s a NEW me!
Last night I walked for 45 minutes with my sister-in-law. [...]
