SAFETY FIRST: P&G LAUNCHES NEW LIQUID LAUNDRY PAC TUB

Disclosure: I have partnered with P&G Fabric Care as an Ambassador. All opinions are 100% my own.

With an active and curious toddler at home, safety is always top of mind for me. It’s something that I’m ALWAYS thinking about because she’s so quick and so fast! I have gates at the top and bottom of the staircases. I have safety locks on all cabinets. I don’t allow any small toys in my house, for fear of choking. Cords and plugs are safely tucked away and out of sight from her. And – all my cleaning products are stored high up and out of sight. I truly try to make sure my house is as safe as it can be for our family.

Tide thankfully shares the same sentiments when it comes to a family’s safety. I have partnered again this year with the team over at P&G Fabric Care to be on their Advisory Board and I’m honored and humbled to be part of this amazing team. I truly love being part of their mission to spread safety awareness – I think it’s important, crucial and vital for all consumers.

As part of this, I’m super excited to share that P&G has launched new Child-Guard™ lids for its Tide PODS and Gain Flings tubs!

Tide Liquid Laundry Pac Tub

What makes these lids so safe?

These child-resistant closures provide a stronger layer of protection, which means you have to squeeze both sides of the lid and twist at the same time to open the packaging. It’s exactly what you think, like a medicine bottle – hard to open, but easy to close.

Liquid Laundry Pac Tub

The Child-Guard™ tub is just the next step in P&G’s ongoing safety efforts that have led to a 39% reduction in the rate of accidents related to P&G’s liquid laundry pacs. This includes the the first-ever child-resistant bag with a Child-Guard™ zipper, the addition of a bitter substance to the pac’s outer film and an increase to the pac’s film-strength to delay the release of its contents. Fun fact: P&G also co-led the development of a new voluntary industry standard that provides manufacturers with guidelines on laundry pac design and packaging.

I am just beyond impressed with P&G’s commitment to do everything they can to ensure consumer safety. It’s remarkable to see the changes that they’re making and I truly appreciate it as a mom.

I have used Tide for as long as I can remember. And when Tide launched their liquid laundry pacs in 2012, I was first in line because I genuinely knew that it would make my laundry days easier and more convenient. In all honesty, it’s all I use. I do about 3 loads of laundry a day (5 kids!), so for me… any way that I can streamline my laundry process and make it quick and easy, I’m all over it. And best of all, as a mom, I feel confident that P&G Fabric Care is there for my family… always. I truly respect and appreciate all the measures they are taking to make sure my family is safe.

The new Child-Guard™ tubs will begin appearing on store shelves this summer and be in most stores by the end of the year. Visit www.tide.com/safety to learn more about how to make safety a top priority during your laundry routine for family and loved ones.
