Are you ready for Lands’ End LOVE LEARNING fun for the week??

Bright Book of the Week

Let’s kick it off with the Bright Book of the Week! There’s nothing like seeing your child curled up with a really, really good book! This week it’s all about 2 friends are transported with the book – Fantastic Frame: Beware! Shadows in the Night! I loved seeing my son Ben completely taken by this book!

Ben loved the Bright Book of the Week.

A little description for you… Tiger Brooks and Luna Lopez are two friends who get magically transported into a famous painting and must navigate the streets of New York in 1942 while searching for their neighbor’s long-lost son. It’s an exciting art adventure, but they must find their way back to the real world before it’s too late—or remain stuck in the painting forever.

Moms and Dads… have some fun engaging with your child with some of these questions:
1) Luna and Tiger land in a painting called Nighthawks, by the artist Edward Hopper. Make up your own story about the people in the painting.  Who are they? Do they know one another?  Why are they there?
2) What challenges did Luna and Tiger experience in trying to find David in New York City? How did they overcome these challenges?
3) David does not come home with Luna and Tiger. What do you think will happen next to David?

I adore how Lands’ End is keeping young minds inspired and learning this summer with the latest kids titles from Brightly!! Again… Brightly is a website that helps make it a little easier, and a lot more fun, for parents to raise kids who love to read. The resource from Penguin Random House shares book recommendations from all publishers for every age and stage, reading tips, author essays, seasonal suggestions, and more.

For my SCIENCE LOVING friends, you’re going to love this one that Lands’ End shared over on their Love Learning page today!! It’s INSANELY COOL!! Watch America’s Science Teacher, Steve Spangler, make a star out of broken toothpicks and a drop of water.
