Monday Motivation: 5 Things To Do For A Successful Week

Monday Motivation: We all need it, we all want it!

5 Things To Do For A Successful Week

Mondays are tough days, especially in the summer. It’s the start of a new week, a new beginning, a new chapter. I woke up this morning with the rain beating against the windows and all I wanted to do was stay in bed! Not to mention, it’s been a crazy week of moving – so our lives are still in boxes. Even though we’ve moved, work still needs to get done. I have set-up a little mock office (a.k.a. my dining room), so at least I have a space to get things done on.

I’ve often found that routines are the best way to get things done. Routines are easy to follow and keep you on track. With the summer here, I’m going to be honest – as a work at home mom, I need routines more than anything! I need to make sure the kids are busy and that I am getting all the work done that needs to get done. As you kick off the week and getting ready to KILL it, keep these 5 things in mind to do for a successful week!

1. Never underestimate getting up an hour early. It’s 60 minutes of extra morning time that you will have to yourself. It’s helpful and so efficient in terms of banging through what needs to get done or at least planning out what needs to get done for the week.

2. Keep your blood pumping! Working out or yoga or pilates… anything that will keep your body moving, DO IT! It’s so important to make sure you’re healthy inside and keeping yourself moving will do the trick! Even if that extra 60 minutes in the morning IS for working out!

3. To Do List. I make one every single morning. Sometimes there’s a full list and sometimes there’s a shorter list. Whatever your list looks like, just make sure you layout what needs to get done for the week.

4. Give yourself time to work uninterrupted. Even if this means hiring help for 2 hours. I swear I can get more done in 2 hours with the kids busy than I can all day with them running around the house. Give this gift to yourself.

5. Goal list for the week. Let’s face it, you don’t always bang through your to do list like you want to do, but you can set up goals for yourself throughout the week. Do this the best you can. make sure you have your list set and know that by the end of the week – these are the 3 or 4 or 10 things that NEED to get done – no questions asked!

It’s Monday!

Let’s kick this week off right!!

I think getting up an hour earlier is an amazing life hack! I get 10x more stuff done that way even compared to staying up an hour later. 😉

I can’t imagine still having kids home while I try to work so I give you tons of credit in that area. I always did the hour earlier when the kids were home, I really need to get back into that as I have been struggling with my motivation. I need structure I have found so making myself a schedule is very important. Thank you for the tips.

Nice share! Nice way to stay pumped the whole week. I really appreciate the way you organize the whole week. I’d love to have a nice diet plan alongside for the whole week. Thanks for sharing!
