We started a Disney Fantasy countdown right after Christmas. The boys couldn’t believe we were going to be setting sail for 7 days! Believe me, I couldn’t either! To say we were all excited would be a gigantic understatement.
There were 3 things I was really looking forward to about setting sail on the Fantasy:
1. Family Time – Being with my husband and my kids is everything to me. I couldn’t wait to just all be together away from our regular life and schedules.
2. Being with the Sweeney Family – I love Vera’s family like they ARE part of my family. All I do is laugh with her and her husband, they are hilarious.
3. Making Memories – Disney is a pro at helping a family make memories. It’s what Disney is all about, it’s their secret sauce. It’s being together and just embracing every single moment.
Since we hadn’t taken a cruise in 6 1/2 years, we weren’t sure what to expect. I literally packed enough to cloth the entire ship! I packed so much that it was almost (almost) embarrassing. I just wanted to make sure we had everything that we needed. I also couldn’t remember the ship check-in procedure… I was really nervous about it, so I had all my documents and passports organized and ready. As I should’ve expected, Disney made it a total BREEZE! Super easy. Super manageable (even with 5 kids!). Super fast (which was amazing!).
We did daily videos every single day while we were on the ship, I will be sharing them throughout the week! I hope you enjoy them, I really wanted to capture what it was like for our family aboard the Fantasy! My husband was a total pro capturing a TON of footage for me (budding blogger!).
But being on the ship… together – from the very 1st day… it was INCREDIBLE!!!!!
being at sea is so peaceful, it’s just a perfect family thing to do!
We’re a big family… and we’re crazy… but we do have lots of fun! Enjoy DAY 1! 🙂
Disclosure: This was a press trip in partnership with Disney Cruise Line.
Audrey, this post has me so excited about our 7 days on the Disney cruise that my husband surprised us all with for Christmas.
While I’m sure I’ll get a little “mommy-time” what I’m really looking forward to is making memories that will last a lifetime 🙂
You’re going to LOVE IT!!!!!!!
