It’s my 2017 word.
Hustle big. Hustle small. Hustle.
As defined in the dictionary:
1. busy movement and activity: “the hustle and bustle of the big cities”
This is how I want 2017 to be for me, busy movement and activity – both professionally and personally. I have always defined myself as a go-getter. I hate to just be. I love to be on the go. I love to be busy. I love be in motion. Hustle for me is just a way of life. It makes me feel like I’m alive, like I’m living.
Hustle – to me – is not a dirty word. It’s positive. It’s good. It’s all encompassing. It’s everything.
“I’m a hustler.”
That’s who I am. That’s who I want to be. It’s my consistent 2017 goal.
When I stop and look at the people in my life, the ones that I’m the closest to are hustlers. They are people who are driven, determined and devoted to their goals and loves. They go after their dreams. They want to excel at what they put their efforts within. They want life to be good and full and alive. These are the people I get. These are the people I want in my life. These are the people that make me a better hustler, too.
But what does hustle really mean to me?
It means I’m a hard worker and I want my husband and 5 children to see that, honor it and be proud of me for that work ethic.
It means I’m driven and determined to make my dreams come true.
It means I have passion for social media and business.
It means I have a love for connecting with people and networking near and far.
It means I wish upon stars and know that nothing is truly handed to us in life.
It means I believe in the universe and knows there’s a plan for my hustle.
It means I come from a long line of hustling women, who never stopped for their family.
It means I will never look back at my life and say, “I wish I had…”
The hustle is real.
It’s my word.
It’s my drive and my devotion.
It’s the hustle to take care of my family, myself and my home.
It’s the hustle to nurture and grow my business.
It’s the hustle to love my family and friends.
It’s my HUSTLE.
So 2017, bring it on.
