A few weeks ago in New Jersey I had the opportunity to host BJ’s Wholesale Club 1st (ever!) Holiday Shopping Challenge on Facebook Live! It was a blast and I had so much fun reporting live and running around the store watching the 3 bloggers create holiday tablescapes and shop for 5 distinct personalities, all with $500! I was amazed as to what these bloggers created and bought! It was a great firsthand peek at how you can really get just about anything at BJ’s Wholesale Club for you and your family!
Well… round 2 was just as fun for me to be part of with BJ’s!
I was absolutely thrilled when BJ’s asked me to host their 2nd Holiday Shopping Challenge on Facebook Live… this time in my neck of the woods, at a BJ’s Wholesale Club in Waltham, MA!!
BJ’s understands the added stress that can sometimes come with the holiday season, from holiday parties to finding the perfect gifts. Every year I start to feel that stress and pressure creep up on me! Truly… we all feel it at some point between now and the end of the year! So what was BJ’s Wholesale Club 2nd Holiday Shopping Challenge all about?
BJ’s put three bloggers – Christine Koh from Boston Mamas, Kristin Sutton from Boston Moms Blog and Jenn Mitchell from Comeback Momma – to the test to see who could create a yummy and visually appealing holiday appetizer spread AND buy 5 gifts for 5 different personalities, all with $500! These ladies rocked it BIG TIME and they had the opportunity to showcase their talent, creativity and showcase the great variety of products BJ’s that offers at affordable prices to get you through the holidays from start to finish.
So to quickly recap, they had to compete in two rounds, so two holiday challenges at BJ’s:
- Find food items at BJ’s (non-bake, no-fire) to create a yummy/delicious and visually appealing Holiday Appetizer spread and holiday-inspired tablescape;
- And shop the club to find the perfect gift for 5 unique personalities (tween, dad, beauty lover, gamer and creative kid)
They would be judged on their creativity, and also receive bonus points for saving money and taking advantage of deals at BJ’s while shopping. Each blogger was given a total of $500 for both challenges on a gift card and had to absolutely use their funds wisely. It was awesome seeing the ladies in action!
I’m excited to share with you – in order – the Facebook Lives throughout the CHALLENGES!! As you can easily see, this was the coolest thing to be part of to kick off the holidays!
