We love music in our house! At any given time, you walk into my house there will be music playing. There’s just some good vibes in music! I grew up loving Aerosmith, Madonna, TLC, Prince and loving classic artists like Bob Dylan, Bruce Springstein and the Rolling Stones! But here’s the thing, I also love One Direction, Taylor Swift, PINK and Rihanna! My taste in music definitely ranges and I’m the first to admit that music fact about myself.
My sons don’t always want to hear what I’m playing at any given time at home. They love listening to their music, their YouTube videos and playing video games on their iPads. It’s such a different generation, they’re all so digitally connected and it always amazes me to see how savyy they are with music, games, videos and digital shows. My son Benjamin had been begging me for headphones. He wanted them for Christmas and it never happened. He wanted them for his birthday (April 4th) and it never happened. So… when I was asked to review these (incredible!!!!!) Cat Ear Headphones available at Brookstone, I jumped at the chance for my Benjamin!
First off… the Cat Ear Headphones are the COOLEST thing ever! My sons (ALL OF THEM!) jumped at wanting to own these babies! I mean, the light up! Can they get cooler than that!?
Yes. They can.
First up, when you place the comfortable, cushioned ear cups over your ears, they actually conform to the unique shape of your head. They block out all background noise and let you enjoy the rich, vibrant sounds you want and expect to hear from premium headphones. When I tried them I couldn’t get over how incredible the listening experience was for me. These are amazing! Especially in my house with 5 kids, to not hear background noise, it was insane!
What I loved even more about the Cat Ear Headphones was that with the flip of a switch, the headphones go from private to public! Oh, yes… you can turn the system up so that everyone around you can enjoy your music through the external cat ear speakers. It’s such a fabulous way to share music! If the boys are outside, they can all enjoy together. If they’re at one of their swim meets, they can have all their buddies enjoy the music. And even just at home… we can ALL enjoy together as a family! I love this personal option to do both!
I also mentioned that my sons are HUGE gamers! Good news, Cat Ear Headphones work for gaming, too! All you have to do is plug in the detachable boom mic and BOOM, you’re covered and good to play!
