Green Mountain Coffee® GIVEAWAY

I wake up at 5:30AM almost every morning. With 5 kids, I like to try to be up and “ahead” of the game before everyone is up and running around. The mornings in the McClelland household can be, well… interesting! There’s 5 breakfasts to be made. There’s 5 lunches to be made. There’s backpacks to be packed. There’s Victoria to change and keep occupied. There’s always someone running around looking for a book/homework/shoe – something! It makes our home, our home and I love the organized chaos of the mornings. What can I say, they’re my version of “normal.”

But truly, if you want to know my secret as to how I can be calm and relaxed in the morning, it all comes down to my cup of coffee.

Coffee for me is my morning wake up call.

Green Mountain Coffee® has always been a brew of choice in our house. We actually have a “coffee cabinet” (truly, I’m not joking), and this is where the different varieties of Green Mountain Coffee® K-Cup pods are stored because we’re Keurig people. There’s a morning routine that I have. I come downstairs, turn the kitchen light on, start my Keurig up with one of the Green Mountain Coffee® brews and then log onto my computer and turn the news onto the TV. This is my relaxation in the morning before any other part of my day begins. It’s me and my coffee. It’s my morning zen and it’s always such a peaceful part of the day for me.

A favorite morning blend is Green Mountain Coffee® Nantucket Blend. It’s so delicious to me. I love and appreciate this full and hearty medium roast blend. I’m not a fan of really strong blends like my husband is, so I truly have become attached to this specific blend in the morning. It brings together four coffees from three continents for a masterful mix of regional flavors and roast styles. With berry flavors from African beans, a full body from Indonesian beans, and subtle smokiness from a touch of French Roast, this blend represents a tapestry of flavors, carefully woven together. I also drink my coffee black, I don’t add any creamers or sweeteners, so I’ve always felt that I’m really getting that true taste. It’s (as I call it) a naked cup of coffee and for me, there’s nothing better!

If you’re like me and appreciate medium blends, you’re going to fall in LOVE with Green Mountain Coffee® Organic Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, too. We’re talking light, airy and yummy as can be!! I had never tried this blend until recently and now I LOVE that I have 2 blends that I can “call” on. Grown in an area that Keurig has actively sourced from for over a decade, this single-origin light roast coffee has a sweet, floral aroma and delicate hints of spice, and clear notes of citrus and ginger. I’m just fascinated with the flavors that I taste in this blend because it’s so different and so like nothing I’ve tasted before. You are really getting such a distinct taste with Ethiopia Yirgacheffe and I just am obsessing over it!! I will say, my husband loves this one, too. I was surprised because it’s a light roast, but he really loved the blending of the flavors and like he said, “that citrus and ginger is great!”

At Green Mountain Coffee®, a “good” quality coffee just isn’t good enough. They travel the globe looking for only the finest beans—the top 10% in the world—and taste them at the source to ensure they meet their standards. An added bonus to enjoying a cup of Green Mountain Coffee® is that since 2001, they have become one of the largest roasters of Fair Trade Certified™ coffee!! This within itself is just AMAZING!!

My 5-year-old is as much of a night owl as I am, which means super-late nights, yet early mornings to try and get work done during the quiet hours. Coffee keeps me going!
