Day 20 ~ 31 Haiku in Search of a Voice ~
Patient late blooming
Rose of Sharon buds tucked in
Easy lean toward Spring.
I love when Spring begins to bloom in my back yard. The peeps of Daffodils and Crocus and tiny Day Lilies. Lilacs and Forsythia awakening. Even a glimpse of Hosta and soon my beautiful Hydrangeas will welcome the long Spring days and afternoon sun. But my Rose of Sharon, or more accurately, my lovely neighbor’s long, tall, swaying, color-bathed wall of Rose of Sharon, bending over my fence in greeting and Joy every single day, well into Autumn! It’s the Rose of Sharon that patiently awaits bloom while the other flowers enjoy the great glory of admiration and love of First Spring Days. Yesterday, I noticed a Rose of Sharon leaning over my fence in greeting. I felt she was a Haiku in Search of a Voice!
