Who gets the trash out – [Who, Who, Who, Who?!]

Who gets the trash out – [Who, Who, Who, Who?!] –

So, OK, in my house on Wednesday mornin’s I’m all up and lookin’ fine in my jammies an’ slippers an’ my hair all askew in the icy cold and half button’d ‘cuz I’m the girl respondin’ to the need to git dat trash an’ recyclin’ out to da curb…

Who gets the trash out? [Who, who, who, who?!]
Who gets the trash out? [Who, who, who, who?!]
Who gets the trash out? [Who, who, who, who?!]

Me, me, me, me!

The week was nice, the dinners was bumpin’ [Hey, Yippie, Yi, Yo]
And everyone eatin’ and drinkin’ it all [Hah, Ho, Yippie, Yi, Yo]
So I tell the fellas, “Start the trash bins a’wheelin’
For real-in’, fair dealin’, big-dealin’, ordeal-in'” [Yippie, Yi, Yo]

And what scruffy girl responds to the call? [Ha, ha, ha ha!]

Who gets the trash out? [Who, who, who, who?!]
Who gets the trash out? [Who, who, who, who?!]
Who gets the trash out? [Who, who, who, who?!]
Who gets the trash out? [Who, who, who, who?!]

Me, me, me, me!

I see da’ recyclin’ truck rumblin’ down da’ street
I  better start runnin’ now –
Run, run, ruffy, get to that curb, scruffy
An’ lay those recylin’ bins down [pant]…

Wait for y’all my dogs, the party is on
I’m da girl you got your mind on –
Do you see the trashy stuff comin’ wit’ me?
You could be my best friend
‘Cuz you the man that’s breakin’ them trash down.

Me in my jammies
I can do a lot, not any girl will do,
I’m figurin’ that’s why they call me
“The girl of the stinkaroo,”
When they see me they say, ah-ooooo [howl]…

Who gets the trash out? [Who, who, who, who?!]

Me, me, me, me!
(Oh, and my neighbor Rebecca –
 ‘Cuz a trash-girl is nuttin’ if she don’t have a trash-day chum!)

********************************

In all seriousness, though, I love early Wednesday mornings  – Trash Day, The Weekly Cleanse – because all the litter, junk, scrap, waste, debris, rubbish and refuse of the past week is hauled away. All we must do is get it to the curb. I feel pretty darned lucky to have this Town of Bristol service and I’ll haul that dross, dreck, detritus & drivel to the next town if I must.

I’m just gonna say it ~ I LOVE GETTIN’ THE TRASH OUT ~ and always sing a silent tribute to Baha Men while doin’ it!

A-Baha-Men for Trash Day!
