Happy Veterans Day to all the brave men and women who have served our country. I’m thinking of all of you today, especially my grandfather, father and father-in-law. My mother grew up as a Navy child, every 2-3 years – they moved to a new base within the U.S. The last base her father was stationed to was the one in Newport, Rhode Island when my mom was in high school… she loved the area so much, she never left! As you can imagine, I grew up with a very deep appreciation for men and women who serve and military families.

I love braiding my hair and my daughter’s, too! I wanted to create a style that involved a braid, but would also keep my hair back and in a bun, too.

The Braided Bun Steps:

2. Piece ponytail into multiple sections and braid each section tightly, securing with a clear elastic.
