What to Wear Monday: Date Day or Night Style

What to Wear Monday: Date Day or Night Style

I don’t know about where you live, but where I live – it’s SNOWING.

I swear, it’s some kind of sick-snow-twisted-joke. Spring officially begins soon and I’m still in boots, hats, scarves and mittens.

I don’t love it, but it’s what I have to deal with right now.

This week is all about DATE NIGHT on the blog. I’m going to be sharing some date night ideas throughout the week and FASHION is one of them! With 5 kids, I’m going to be honest, date night is something that doesn’t always happen. Finding someone to babysit for the kids isn’t an easy feat. That being said, my husband and I have had to get creative with our alone time.

One way we get our “dates” in is during the day and outside (and this could be done at night, too!).

While the boys are at school, once or twice a week, we’ll pop Victoria in her stroller – bundle her up from head to toe – and walk around our neighborhood. Believe it or not, I still try and look pretty, even for a walk date. LOL… I know, I know – but it means something to me. I want my husband to know that I cherish even the walks around our neighborhood.

My style of choice for a Date Day or Night walk?

Easy. You definitely need to be bundled up, but choose colors that make you feel pretty and sexy for your partner.

Date Night Style

I’ll wear my fave jeans, a cozy sweater, warm socks, my puffer coat, pom-pom hat, ear muffs, warm mittens and (of course!) BOOTS!

I actually make sure everything matches, even for a Date Walk.

It’s a simple thing to do and a simple thing to dress for, but think beyond the clothes and the walk… it’s time together to laugh and talk and giggle and catch up (even with our Victoria with us!).

Head outside this week with your partner for a walk, even if it’s with the kiddos!

And if you’re lucky enough to live in an area where you can wear a tee and shorts, share with me what you wore!

I’ll be jealous back in Rhode Island (we got another 4 inches of snow last night!).
