Show & Tell

You remember Show & Tell… that one day where you could bring in anything you loved from home and show it off to the class.

My Ben had his first Show & Tell on Tuesday afternoon. All weekend I kept wondering what he was going to bring, I was certain it was going to be his collection of Pokemon cards.

On Monday afternoon, I finally just asked him, “Ben – what do you want to bring for Show & Tell?

He replied, “Can I bring Victoria?”

He wanted to bring his baby sister.

And so, I obliged.

As a digital mom, believe me… I take about 100 a photos a day.  But being in Ben’s class, with a classroom full of kids I don’t know, I would NEVER make any of the kids feel uncomfortable with snapping away (especially without parental permission).  As Ben sat in front of the class with his sister, he was told to share 3 things about Victoria with the class. I couldn’t get over the look on Victoria’s face, so I quickly took out my camera and grabbed ONE photo.

This was my ONE photo that I got.

It couldn’t have been more perfect. She was gazing at him, so proud with a cute grin. He was sitting there as proud as can be.

The best part came next, she started showing the class her bare belly by lifting up her sweater. The kids erupted in laughter every single time she did it, so she KEPT doing it. When Ben got home from school, he told Matt… “Victoria was so funny, she kept lifting up her shirt to get a laugh from the class.” Matt’s response? “Yeah… let’s not encourage that!” LOL!

This brother-sister moment in time that I caught is a photo I will cherish forever, it’s my 2 little beauties, showing each other off.

It was, indeed, a happy Show & Tell for Ben.
