Why I Love PediaSure for my Sons

My sons William (10) and Alexander (9) are the pickiest eaters on the planet.

OK, maybe not on the planet… but they are big picky eaters.

Regardless if it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even snack time – they are picky about what they’re eating. I’ve never been able to just prepare something off the cuff and have all the boys eat it. I’ve always had to stick with certain staple dishes. I’ve often thought that my boys would out-grow their picky eating stage, but so far – no luck.

The #1 thing that has always, always, always had me nervous about them being picky eaters is the worry about them not getting the proper amount of nutrients and vitamins. It’s something that has concerned me from the time they started to eat food other than baby food. I would see William and Alex only gravitate to and eat certain foods… and know they weren’t getting proper nutrition. It’s interesting, because with my other two sons, I’ve never really had to worry because they’re not picky eaters at all. They love every kind of fruit and vegetable and varied food choices! It’s wonderful.

It’s my William and Alex that I was so concerned about for so long, until I heard about PediaSure.

I first heard about PediaSure from a mother of one of the kids with whom my boys went to preschool. We were all waiting for the kids to be released from school one day, and we just started talking about what we do when it comes to making sure the kids were getting the right amount of vitamins and nutrients. She said that her kids drink PediaSure in the morning before school.

It was an eye opener for me.

That very afternoon, I bought vanilla flavored PediaSure because I knew my boys loved vanilla flavored ice cream. I wasn’t sure what else to go on! 🙂

I remember pouring it into a large clear glass and hoping that they would both drink it.

They did.

PediaSure is clinically proven nutrition to help kids grow. Each delicious shake provides 7g protein and 25 vitamins and minerals. Not to mention it’s the #1 Pediatrician recommended brand. It’s perfect because I know my sons are getting what they need in a delicious drink. It was a big deal for me when I first started having them drink PediaSure because it was so easy. I didn’t have to worry or fight with them about eating certain foods that I knew had vital proteins and vitamins and minerals. Everything was right in the PediaSure, which they were drinking and which they loved.

Throughout the years, I’ve continued using PediaSure. It’s been a great addition to my food routine with the boys because I know I’m getting them what they need.

As they’ve gotten older, they’ve also tried other flavors – to date:
Vanilla
Chocolate
Banana
Strawberry
Berry

I also started my Ben and Henry on PediaSure, too, because they always want to have what their older brothers have.

PediaSure even has recipes on their website that you can create with the drinks! It’s absolutely awesome and really easy and fun for us!

One of their faves (and the easiest!) is the Hot Cocoa, which we will start making quite a bit again with the weather getting chillier!

PediaSure Chocolate

I love that it’s easy to incorporate into your life, regardless of how busy. Each kid-approved flavor comes in a re-closable bottle — perfect for kids on the go, which we are! I love how there are different flavors available and how you really can feel at it ease that your children are getting a great amount of protein, vitamins and minerals.

I love this as an option for my boys – picky eaters and all!

My son has autism which makes him beyond a picky eater. He won’t eat anything really and it was one of the scariest symptoms of his autism but then I learned about drinks like these and they give him vitamins and keep his weight up. There lifesavers right? Thank you for this article!! it’s nice to know other mamas are going through similar things with picky eaters!
