The Hotel Hershey #HersheyPA #Hershey

*I’m a Sweet Ambassador with Hersheypark this year, so I’m excited to share my experiences from visiting Hersheypark in October with my family during their Hersheypark in the Dark hours.

Hersheypark in the Dark

When I was a little girl, I remember visiting Hersheypark with my family and staying at The Hotel Hershey. I was little, so the memories of everything aren’t crystal clear, but I do remember it being beautiful and I do remember wishing we could stay longer.

The last few times we’ve been to Hersheypark, we’ve said at The Hershey Lodge. It’s a beautiful hotel and it’s a place that really brings to life a magical time for families visiting and staying there. When I saw that I was staying at The Hotel Hershey, I have to be honest – I was BEYOND EXCITED. I couldn’t wait to show my family the beauty of it all and spend a weekend basking in the fabulousness and family-luxury of The Hotel Hershey with my family.

The Hershey Hotel

Many times before I book a trip ANYWHERE, I check out the hotels in the area. It’s the foundation of the trip in many ways. It’s where you will rest and relax and “be” with your family during your time away, your home away from home. I wanted to craft this post about The Hotel Hershey because I got SO MANY emails and messages asking me about the hotel while I was away and people all saying how much they LOVED it there. It really made me smile because in many ways, where you stay can make or break a trip for a family.

In true Hershey fashion, as soon as you check into your hotel, you’re given HERSHEY CHOCOLATE bars. This is something that my family absolutely loves!

When we checked into our rooms, we couldn’t get over how beautiful they were. They were just exquisite. The colors, the beds, the amenities, the amount of room. We have 7 people in our family, so we always get 2 connecting rooms, but the amount of room we had was just amazing. It didn’t feel like we were “stuck” in a room. There was so much space, it was wonderful for us.

Here is a full video of the room… with a few of the kids commenting! 🙂

As soon as we pulled up to the hotel on Friday night around 5PM, the boys all said, “MOM! Can we eat!?” The concierge heard the boys and smiled. He told us all about the dining options at the hotel and he quickly called all of them to see who could accommodate us immediately. My husband was excited to try out Harvest at the hotel, so we headed over there for dinner on our first night.

Inspired by local and regional ingredients, Harvest offers a fresh take on American cuisine perfect for the whole family. The menu features fresh seasonal fare and a variety of beverages including micro-brews, cocktails, and an American wine list. Attire is resort casual.

It was AMAZING! Absolutely amazing. I had the braised venison ragout — Fresh Wheat Pappardelle Pasta, House-made Ricotta, Fried Parsnips – I was licking the plate clean. The boys laughed at me when we ordered because I asked the waitress if they happened to have chocolate milk. She smiled, “Of course we do!”

But truly… the food and the ambiance of Harvest was just incredible. I can’t say enough. It was so spectacular!

After dinner, we had a couple stop and ask us if we wanted a family photo, we JUMPED at the chance!

We never get family photos with ALL of us, so this was a real treat!

Saturday morning we toured the hotel and really had some fun getting to know the lay of the land. Hersheypark wasn’t opening till 12PM, so it gave us a great opportunity to really see what the Hershey Hotel had to offer.

We enjoyed the indoor pool! You know my sons are little fish, so they were like bees to honey with the pool time! It was a great pool, nice and big and there was even a little spray area for the kids, too! AND a delightful hot tub for the moms and dads!

And they have a spa… oh, yes… a spa.

We were looking for places to dine at Saturday night and TREVI 5 jumped out at us because we all love Italian food! It is set right overlooking the entrance of the hotel and you can see Hersheypark! Absolutely awesome view!
A fresh, authentically modern Italian dining experience. Trevi 5 offers a contemporary twist on traditional Italian cuisine featuring a parade of small dish appetizers, and five-flavor combinations. Attire is resort casual.

Dinner was exceptional! I had the Manicotti – Butternut Squash, Ricotta, Spinach, Sage Cream Sauce… it was delicious!

The Hotel Hershey was just a remarkable place to stay.

I can’t say enough good things.

We genuinely had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed every single second.

We even got lucky and after our trip to the pool, ran into a little Hershey friend!

We just had a true blast!

Thank you to The Hotel Hershey for the wonderful time. The staff was – truly – incredible, too. I was just so appreciative of the amazing service.
