When I was a little girl, I would go to my Nana’s house every morning before school. My school had 1/2 day Kindergarten, (I was afternoon) so those mornings together throughout my youth were precious and special. I was 1 of 8 grandchildren, so having that one-on-one time with my Nana was awesome for me. It was something I looked forward to every morning.
We would always be in her kitchen.
Always.
She loved to bake and cook for our family, so she would stay with me in her kitchen for hours letting me watch her and letting me create little special treats with her.
One of my “specialties” was my RITZ cracker sandwiches.
I laugh thinking back now because the sandwiches were truly nothing special – they were 2 RITZ crackers with peanut butter and jelly between them – but my Nana made them out to be the best thing in the world. It’s funny now, fast forward a good 30 (ahem) years… I’m now a mom of 5, and RITZ crackers are a staple in our house.
