I saw this today and I couldn’t wait to share it because I think it’s FABULOUS!
New Balance has announced an exciting partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that is perfectly timed to the back-to-school season.
Now through August 31st, when consumers purchase a pair of New Balance kid’s shoes from participating New Balance stores or online in the U.S., New Balance will give 30% of the sale price to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in the form of new shoes.
Incredible, right?
When the program concludes, New Balance associates will be making the “shoe drops” at 15 regional Boys & Girls Clubs, as well as the national headquarters. Based on 2013 sales, New Balance expects to donate between 15-20,000 pairs of shoes during the back to school season.
This partnership is part of New Balance SparkStart, a global initiative focused on improving the health, well-being and self-esteem of children through movement that launched in June. This is the perfect opportunity for New Balance to provide footwear to children across the country and inspire a lifetime of movement so they can live active, healthy lives.
