Dear Baby Brian,
You turned 5 months old yesterday, but it was a jam-packed day with lots of fun adventures, so I didn’t get a chance to document it here… so I’m doing it today!
Yesterday morning/afternoon we took part in the 4th Trimester Bodies Project in Boston (Grandma came with us for that!), and then in the evening Daddy and I took you to Newport, one of our favorite places. We had gone a bunch of times when I was pregnant with you, but this was your first time in Newport outside of the womb. We had a great time!
You developed, learned and discovered so much this month. It was amazing to witness! You still love to suck on your fingers, but you also love to just stare at your hands as you move them around. You have really mastered grabbing on to toys and bringing them to your mouth so you can chew them.
You love your play mat and you’re great at kicking and hitting the toys that dangle above you. And we just recently started putting you in your jumparoo, which you really like! You can press the buttons, pull the strings and flip the toys all on your own like a big boy.
You love your doggy siblings so much and they love you, too! Tansy and Jethro like to lick your feet, which you think it hilarious. I look forward to watching your relationship with all three pups continue to grow.
We brought you to the pool club for the first time recently, and you loved the kiddie pool, just as I figured you would. I think you’re going to be a little fish just like your big cousins.
Baby Brian, I tell you all the time that you are a joy and a delight, and it is just so true. You always have a big smile on your face and you laugh at everything! You have the most gorgeous big blue eyes, and we can’t go anywhere without people stopping us to tell us what a beautiful, happy baby you are.
We love, love, love you, B2!
Love always,
Mama
