Happy Birthday to my Matty today… !

The BIG 37!

This is the 14th birthday I’ve gotten to celebrate with him… and with each year, there has been something new and exciting to celebrate.

The big years were when we were finally a married couple celebrating together. Then the years when with each new birthday, there was a new son!

This year it’s all about true celebration. Celebrating life and the wonder of it! I asked Matt last night what he wanted to do for his birthday… he said he wasn’t sure. William chimed in, “Can we decorate the house for Christmas?”

I think William thought we’d nix that idea in a second… but we didn’t. Matt smiled and said, “Sure buddy… that’s a great idea!”

Then Matt said, “What about if we cook our family a big Thanksgiving meal?” I was totally game!
(We’ll be in Pittsburgh visiting my in-laws for the Holiday, so we thought it would be fun to do something with just our little family).

So today is all about (in a way) 3 holidays…

We’re celebrating Matt’s 37th BIRTHDAY!
We’re celebrating Thanksgiving by kicking off the week with a feast!
And we’re celebrating XMAS by starting our decorating!

The perfect was to spend the DAY!
