Fashion Do for C-section Moms: Czela Bellies

The day my doctor confirmed my 4th pregnancy… way back in 2008, he also confirmed that I would be having a c-section.  My previous 3 deliveries had been very tough on my body (who said they get easier as you go…?), so he said due to that… a c-section would be safest option for me and the baby.  I don’t mess with the safety or health of my baby, so I absolutely agreed to having the c-section.

C-sections are MUCH different than vaginal deliveries… on all accounts.  The biggest difference for me was recovery.  With my 3 oldest sons, I was back up in action pretty quickly… with my c-section, I was “out” for a good 2-3 weeks.  It took a little getting used to… especially when 5 “men” at home are depending on you.

So… I’m sure you’re wondering – how are c-sections at all fashionable?

Well… let me introduce you to the oh-so-chic and fabulous Czela Bellies.  These were my post c-section saving grace in my recovery time… not to mention, they made me feel pretty and happy!  With so many women expecting right now… I wanted to pass along one of my favorite post-pregnancy, post-c-section secrets… and it was all in the clothing I wore, or better yet – it was all in the Czela Bellies!

Founder & Designer of Czela Bellies CesareanWear, Jennifer Bourgoyne (who is also an just an overall amazing woman!) had her “AHA” moment after a “recent and repeat cesarean section delivery herself,” when she discovered the discomfort that even a simple pair of soft cotton undies caused (much less anything with a waistband). So… as they say, if it’s not yet made – make it yourself… and so, Jennifer went for it!

Jennifer revolutionized undergarments for women… she thought of a sector that had been overlooked, c-section moms.

Czela Bellies CesareanWear’s front panel is made to be adjusted on your body so that the chenille band always rests between your c-section area and any binding waistbands, buckles, buttons or zipper front closures.   One of the worst feelings is having anything brush up against that tender area post c-section.  Having Czela Bellies there to protect your incision is so wonderful… and (here’s the fashionista in me) still keeps you looking fashionable chic, it’s a true a win-win.  You have the softness, the most comfortable undies… and still, you have the fashionable fun.

Colors available now… and more to come soon!

I lived… I mean LIVED in my Czela Bellies for 6 weeks.  I loved that I could wear the waistband high or low… it all depended on my comfort level.  Your incision does start to heal pretty quickly… so the most important thing is to keep it healing properly.  My Czela’s were the most comfortable undergarments in the world.  I cannot say enough about them!  If you’re pregnant and know you’re having a c-section baby (or know someone who is!)… get yourself (or them!) some Czela Bellies!  If you have a surprise c-section… order some immediately!
