Save Money for Game Day at Walmart

You have to understand one thing about my life. I married a man who loves football. He grew up in Western Pennsylvania – much like the football mentality in Texas – everything stops for footballs games – high school, college and (oh, yes) for the Steelers.

I grew up in New England. Football wasn’t “that” big of a deal here. Granted we love our Patriots, but it just isn’t the same die-hard football mentality here. When my husband was recruited to play football for Brown University – one of the first things he noticed was that the seats in the stadium weren’t full for every home game. Completely different to what he was used to… but the football love in him has always remained.

This is how we roll in this house – Sunday is GAME DAY – regardless if the Steelers are playing or not (you can imagine my house last year with the season the Steelers had…). Football is HUGE here… and with 4 boys, my husband is really trying his best (even though they are 5, 4, 2 and 1) to instill the “football” way!

So… you can IMAGINE how excited he is for the BIG GAME DAY on February 7th. Even though our teams aren’t playing this year… we still have a feast! It’s a tradition in this house! Not to mention, we’re all about saving money right now and making good choices before we buy… so I’m excited to share that Walmart is helping families pull off their Big Game Time Party for as low as $44 with these great items:

One package of Oscar Mayer Meat Hot Dogs (8 ct.)
One package of Johnsonville® Bratwursts (6 ct.)
Two packages of Great Value™ Hot Dog Buns
Two bags of T.G.I. Friday’s™ Frozen Appetizers
One Hormel™ Supreme Party Tray
12” Chocolate Chunk Cookie
Two boxes of Nabisco Wheat Thins or Triscuit Crackers (8 to 10 oz. box)

Talk about feast… right? All that for $44. T.G.I.F. apps – have you ever tried their Spinach Dip? OMG… amazing. There’s something about suiting up and feasting up every year for GAME DAY… I’m not really a huge football fan, and even I get into the excitement of the day! (Actually – these are my favorite kinds of games because I don’t care who wins!)

And… drum roll, if you happen to have a team in the “Bowl” this year… Walmart also has full home entertainment installation packages ranging from $99 – $200 to ensure the family’s HDTV set up is working perfectly.

So get in on the action – invite some friends, have some fun, see some touchdowns… and have a blast! That’s what we’ll be doing at our house!

*Walmart provided me with (2) $50 Walmart gift cards for my participation in this program.
